Rosamund Muir and Oliami Founder, Nadia Alexander teamed together earlier this year for a A/W22 curation of a limited edition, bespoke footwear design. The two business women share similar values in their approach - both prioritising sustainability, female lead, and timeless luxury fashion. When Nadia originally approached Rosamund Muir about this collaboration, the goal was to the ever-growing neglect in the fashion industry: Navy Footwear! Each pair of Rosamund Muir shoes is lovingly handcrafted from start to finish, using traditional and sustainable practices. Determined to work with the highest level of craftsmanship, Rosamund scoured Europe to find the finest artisans committed to sustainable practices and the delicate art of shoemaking. On a mission to fulfil Nadia's design request - Rosamund Muir scoured even more to source material to suit this bespoke design.
All leathers used are a naturally sustainable by-product sourced from the best Italian tanneries and processed using traditional techniques to produce the finest Nappa leathers, softest suedes and calf hair. The luxury brand creates beautiful and luxurious footwear with use of excess materials from luxury fashion houses such as, Hermes, Gucci and more. This means the process is not only super sustainable with a commitment to waste reduction, but the quality of the materials also used is recognised as the best in the fashion industry and the final product is durable. The artisanal methods produce a noticeable difference in luxury and quality, creating shoes to last a lifetime!
